The most important Latin pop group of all time, RBD, has broken every conceivable record to date for the sale of their #SoyRebeldeTour, selling 20+ shows globally and counting. The T6H Entertainment and Live Nation produced tour sold over 800 thousand tickets just as they were released, and new dates were added to the route on the go to meet the overwhelming demand. Venues such as Madison Square Garden and stadiums across Mexico, Texas, California, Chicago, and Brazil sold at the speed of lightning. Over 275 thousand fans showed up to buy tickets online in Mexico just for the presales, and in Brazil, thousands of fans flooded stadium premises for weeks to be the first ones when box offices opened. In addition, the global reunion tour announcement went viral and continues to dominate conversation and excitement since its announcement in December 2022. After 15 years away from the spotlight, RBD are back to reclaim their place at the top of the pop firmament. What many thought that this tour would be fueled only by nostalgia are now realizing that RBD remain a vital force in today’s global culture and music, returning stronger than ever and breaking records at a worldwide scale. There’s no precedent for a Latin tour with such demand, and it will and it will surely position RBD as one of the top global touring acts of the decade. RBD’s #SoyRebeldeTour announcement has registered over 5.2 million subscribers to soyrebelde.world and the tour announcement originated 1.6 billion impressions online in two days. In the efforts to try to meet the demand, new tour dates were added, including second shows at Madison Square Garden in New York on August 31, Desert Diamond Arena in Phoenix on September 12, Miami Dade Arena in Miami on September 21, Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg on September 28, Viejas Arena in San Diego on October 14, BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on October 18, 20, and 22, Allianz Park Stadium in Sao Paulo on November 16 and 17, Estadio Sultanes in Monterrey on November 23, and Foro Sol in Mexico City on November 30 and December 2 and 3. Over 220,000 people will be able to see RBD live in Brazil alone. Until their disbandment in 2008, RBD released nine studio albums in Spanish, Portuguese and English, and performed sold-out shows all over the world as one of the top-selling Latin acts. On their last tour, RBD performed over 80 sold out concerts in Mexico on their Tour Generación RBD. In 2008, they played their biggest show to date at Esplanada dos Ministérios in Brasilia, Brazil in front of more than 500 thousand people. They are the most successful and top selling Mexican band with more than 15 million albums and more than 10 million tickets sold globally.
